We definitely need more intelligence in how we use the ball. Play football if we can, but we also need a side that can win, when not playing well.
The side needs goal threats throughout it. Another striker, a wide player, attacking central midfielder and a left back are must haves.

Agard was running with the rest yesterday looking at the group photo so he’s starting like Close and Rowe their comeback

Paul Goodwin would do his readers a big favour if he pressed management hard on this issue of player rehabilitation. He should perhaps enquire specifically about the reasons why so many of them have failed to successfully complete the process of regaining match fitness with the normal expected timescale. Surely good management would decree that the true reasons be identified. “Bad luck” in so many instances is just not credible. It follows that we should know what is to be or has been done about the lack of competence in the staff involved whether it be from outside consultants or from employees. So far this information has not been disclosed and it is crucial if the club are be able to make full use of their playing staff and retain their credibility with the paying public.

Rowe and Agard missing half a pre season at their age won't help... Close will be miles behind anyway given he hasn't kicked a ball in the best part of a year

The threads of optimism will start to fray shortly unless we get some decent signings made, we can't afford to get this one wrong...
Ben close played 45 mins at Burton on 27/11/21 that was his last game. 7 months.
He will be rusty and needs a very good pre season to get back to his best. Could be Sept before he is up to full speed I would think.

Going on that estimate, Taylor will not be ready until Christmas!
