Oh dear, Sydney. Not only is BST not agreeing with your obsessive love of Keith, he's not agreeing with your warped opinion of Mick Lynch.

Your constant obsession with Brexit and the Guardian is losing you friends on here.

Have you any mates in Aussie?

I'm not living with brexit Steve you are and will be till you point your toes up, as far as lynch is concerned it was only a few months ago you were creaming your jeans with the thought of Burnham for PM, who's next Elvis? I don't really care who wins the next election as long as it's labour, why not try voting for em.

And yet you want a Labour government so much you do the Tories job for them by demonising an extremely credible Trade Union leader whose union tick every box legally to take strike action and are so much on the right side of this the passengers their action affects actually support them .

You want a Labour government so much you continue to bang the drum on a referendum result you didn't win  six years on which has created more division in our society than many of us have known , so much division it's knocked the Labour Party for six whilst they couldn't make their minds up whether to bat or ball but you carry on anyway keeping the wounds open and the knife sharpened , classic Tory divide and rule .

Any movements such as Don't Pay UK you hint at anarchism even though the movement seeks to prevent 25 to 50% of  UK households having to make a choice between eat or heat .

The Labour Party you supposedly support have told you if elected to government that they won't be rejoining the SM or the Customs Union and yet you want a Labour government .

The only endorsement you can offer to the merits of current Labour leader is that he was knighted by the Queen and presumably that makes him a PM in waiting and that's good enough for you even though he's broken  pledges and nobody can trust a single word he says and hasn't as yet come up with one idea , policy or a vision that would make this country better under him than it is today despite having the keys to number 10 practically handed to him on a plate .

It's an incredible position you've engineered for yourself Syd .

What the f*ck has the potential of Burnham as a PM got to do with the character of Mick Lynch?

Are you really this ill equipped to deal with semantics and the English language, or are you doing it on purpose to give us all a laugh?

Brilliant post, Tyke, and addresses the root of Syd's problem with his politics. He's not a socialist, he's a liberalist, and as such should be supporting the Lib Dems or the Greens.

I imagine he loves Jo Swinson as well as Keith.

Tell how you swallowed the tory line that brexit will give you sovereignty and tell me what it is you wanted changed tyke, then tell me about all the money being saved from not being in the EU and how that will help those worse off. You want to write to raab and ask him if he has a stocking filler for you as he tries to reign in the judiciary.

You were sucker punched tyke, and the saving grace was you're not on your own

It’s enough to make you want to emigrate to warmer climes.

Somewhere that having a good BBQ will gather far more comment & interest amongst your neighbours (‘Neighbours….that’s when good neighbours become…’ sing along at your leisure) than what’s happening in Ukraine or Taiwan or the UK unless of course, you took that gigantic decision to head for that ‘new life’ where you could wear shorts all year round, keep that tan topped up & yet….there’s something missing in your life Syd isn’t there?

Which is why (imo from your many trivial & ‘juvenile’ posts) you’re missing something ‘Down Under’…..debate.

Now there’s only so many times you can ‘debate’ with neighbours how many flies they trapped in doors that day & the best way to attract then kill them or repulse them altogether before you start to hanker after ‘proper debate’, the sort you used to have ‘back home’?

The problem with you using this forum as a means to fill that void you’ve decided to mentally, physically (geographically) ‘remove’ yourself from is that very ‘art’ you desperately seek to still immerse yourself in (for reasons better known to yourself…..homesickness perhaps?) is that given you now live on the other side of the world, it has no credence.

Think about that carefully, ‘no credence’ the next time you come on this forum & espouse to those of us who still live in the UK how we should ‘conduct’ our political decisions because when push comes to shove, your credibility on such topics also sailed with you all those years ago.

P.S. As a ‘Limey’, can i ask you to do me one favour? At your next neighbourly BBQ could you please ask a natural born Aussie for me “Why would you tie a kangaroo down?”.

Good on yer sport.

Brilliant post, CC. Take heed, Syd, there are some good semantics in here.

I reckon the reason Rolf Harris would tie a kangaroo down would be so he could sh*g it; as long as it's a very young one.

how many semantics are there in a brexit vote Steve?

I'm your mortal enemy I despise and want to break you, vote for me and I will. I will bring poverty to your country to add to the poverty you enjoyed throughout Austerity (didn't see the semantics in   that one?) and I will enrich those already super wealthy at your expense. I will make you challenge your own sanity and deny reality.

Till death do us part

regards brexit

I hope Sydney's listened to it. Then he'll know exactly how Keith should be talking.

I  think that's the problem with Syd Steve .

The Union leaders and people movements are exposing the Labour Party for the spineless set of tossers  that they are .

Syd either knows it and he's in denial or it's just envy .

I'll be more than happy if Lynch can take labour to the next election and win, have you asked him if that's what he wants to do?

Thought not Steve, you need to grow some and get involved.

all mouth no trousers tyke, you're banging on about unions and union power, when were you last in a union 30+ years ago? I've asked you several times have I not.

My background is well documented on this forum in the great number of exchanges I've contributed to in the time I've been on here .

It's often used against me by a one or two on here including yourself and  now you want  to conveniently question it because I suspect I've hit a nerve with yourself .

This from someone who is so principled that the source of all his bitterness and anger is the result of a referendum 6 years ago that went against him but clearly won't vote for a party that would have overturned that result .

Principles eh ? , if you don't like them I have others .

The fact is the Labour Party of today doesn't want people like me , it's almost guaranteed that if I were a member with affiliations to certain left wing movements I would have got thrown out of the party along with people such as Ken Loach .

That's fine , however by definition if the Labour Party wants to follow that path in its quest for government it believes it can do it without me .

Keith has made the decision that the Labour Party is no longer a broad church and wants to put as much distance between itself and people currently striking or those who have any left leaning credentials

Neither does he want to take back in to public ownership one single thing .

Again that's fine , crack on .

Whilst you would have voted for a little Austrian man with a moustache  in 1930's Germany had he worn a red rosette because of your incessant tribalism don't expect others to see it the same way .
