Tonight at approx 7pm 3 Chinnooks flew low over Cadeby North to South! Troops being  moved to Capital?

Or they’re returning to either Odiham or Benson where they’re based after working with the army up at the training grounds of Catterick and Otterburn. But yep they could be moving troops south as they’re training grounds down there as well

No is my guess you see them around all the time training

Saw loads of chinooks flying really low over Windermere each night when on hols there end of July. Plus lots of RAF fighter jets on manouevres.

Speaking of RAF jets, i was once high up on the Pennine Way with a deep valley on my right hand side.
An RAF fighter jet came through the valley at a lower height than my path and the pilot gave me a wave.
A great moment.

I saw three over Beltoft last week. Very low level flying.

If you’d have finished that with “……..fighter jet came through the valley at a lower height than my path and the pilot gave me a wave just before he hit a lamp post”, that would have been quality Hound!

As IDM said, not for the pilot but your post did make me chuckle Colin.
