Why is it empty? Has she done the lizard shape-shifting thing?

Is it? Where? I'm defending Scout leaders if you read what i posted RR. Against CCN3's rather spurious and sweeping statements levelled at Scout leaders that many are kiddy fiddlers.

250 convictions since I was a boy & one abuse to one of my brothers.

I am truly sorry to read of that CCN3. It's an appalling breach of trust and a shocking crime. Hopefully the person got what they deserved.

I was too young to remember the events at the time. I just remember policemen knocking on our door one late evening.

Years later our mum told us this scout leader had abused other boys under his ‘care’. He served some 18 months in custody.

Some time shortly after his release mum was working in Hodgson & Hepworths, the bloke walked in & mum (although recognising him immediately) was the employee behind the counter who fell on next to serve him.

It’s not just those abused, it has a ‘trickle on down effect’ to all their family.

I wish nothing but the greatest of harm on this earth to such people.

I can't help but think there is a kind of celebrity madness going on here.

Queueing up all night in the cold, to walk past a box with a flag on it? I'm afraid I don't understand this. Still, if it's what they want to do, good luck to them.

Did you hear about the two old lasses from Southport who took their husbands' ashes "because they would have wanted to be there"?

I think i might have to dig my Nan up from Mexborough church yard and drag her coffin down there. She was always a big admirer of the Queen.

If it made the two old lasses comfortable then well done to them for taking the ashes with them.

If you stop and think about it... Parading a dead body around the country. Putting it on display.

I don't know, it's a bit mad isn't it?

I'm not particularly anti monarchy but can't people get a grip?

A nice old lady has had a very good long life. It's sad but it is not the end of the world.

I'm all for respect but isn't this getting a bit out of hand?

I'm...I'm speechless. How DARE they post a weather forecast? Don't they know the Queen has died?

Apparently Prince Andrew has stated that when he ‘passes’ he doesn’t wish to have ‘a big do’.

He simply wishes for his coffin to lie in state for a couple of weeks at the Moulin Rouge.

Some dumb woman is on Sky News saying she's queued twice as first time her 6 year old daughter had a meltdown due to queuing over 6 hours. So what did the mum do? Queue again!  :suicide:

Not only did she put a 6 year old through this but she had strapped to her a baby in a baby carrier!

Then she said her partner said she was mad queuing. Honestly. Some people. Got two kids too. Crikey.

I think most normal families would leave these young kids at home with the dad if the dad didn't want to go and the wife / gf can go alone and queue. Ludicrous.

Full respect to Becks though. As well as queuing on his own for 12 hours, when offered the disgusting option that other celebrities and dignitaries have taken up, of jumping the queue and going straight in, he refused and queued like everybody else.

Absolute dignity and respect for others. Well done, Becks.

Agreed SS and I said just the same thing to my family when I saw that on the news.
Similarly Dame Kelly Holmes too who also joined the long queue.

Like everyone else then? Susannah Reid and David Beckham are just people. No big deal if they queue like the rest really. Don't see why they are being singled out for praise for doing what everyone else has done.

Well putting aside my Republicism I have to say the old girl is getting one hell of a send off .

Marvellous pageantry and  colour , nobody in the world does this like we do , spectacular .

Anyway I might as well watch it given I've paid for the bugga .

It's been amazing to watch, genuine scenes that in future will be shown for centuries.

It's these things that make the country unique and we shouldn't forget that.

I've actually watched the US coverage on NBC News just to get a insight in to their view of it .

The commentators are in awe of it , spellbound by it even .

This state funeral is live on every US news channel .

You don't realise what a huge , significant and historical event this is and no doubt all across the whole world .
