4.5 stone loss is some going. Do you feel better for it?
That’s good going Filo, now the hard work of maintaining it. I know as I have had yo-yo weight experiences over the years.I have just started on the pre diabetes course (second nature) as I was borderline. They call that a lifestyle change rather than a diet, as most people break diets. It is very interesting and really makes sense. I have lost almost 5kg in less than three weeks. I haven’t been exercising either as I damaged my one good knee on holiday. I can’t wait to get back to the gym and hopefully do even better.
Have you had a look at joining Fit Rovers? Its very popular and lots on here have done the course and are now veterans.
Well done Filo (and Belton) and good luck in keeping it going.
Good stuff chaps, have you both cut out acohol and sweet drinks?
Well done Dave, keep up the great work
I've just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, so I'm joining you in the weight loss war.Since retiring from a very physical job 18 months ago, I've moved much less and drunk more alcohol which leads to eating junk food.I've set myself a target of a weekly average of 10000 steps a day and also reducing my boozing days to a max of 2 a week.Unfortunately I'm off to Benidorm tomorrow for a week, so whilst I'll double the daily step target, it'll be 6 nights of medium level beering. When I get back, I'll try and get into a healthier routine and maintain it.

I was diagnosed as pre diabetic. I started this five weeks ago and have lost almost 7kg in that time. There are plenty of nice recipes and guidance about changing your lifestyle for a permanent benefit. I got Bluetooth scales and books sent to me and you have a group mentor who answers questions and advises. I can’t recommend it highly enough. It is free for me but the surgery paid something for it as they said that I needed to be committed to it as they had paid the company.
A little update, still going in the right direction
