Ideal scenario
« on January 21, 2023, 12:27:51 pm by Canadian Rover »
Not great financially or for the fans but for Danny Schofield and the coaching staff this must be a great thing with the game canceled. We have players returning from injury and new players coming in. I expect we have a couple more inbound shortly too... This will give time for the squad to gel tactically and for the players to recover from injuries and get up to speed on the training ground.

Also... I imagine they are gonna be chomping at the bit to get back in action again.

I expect and hope for a great 2nd half to the season.

Your most positive post for some time my fellow CR.  :)

I agree ( perhaps my helicopter is flying very high to get this overview ) and am feeling positive and encouraged by the work of DS and presumably Copps over this short window. I share the disappointment at our free fall following Moore's departure and then the Wellens hiatus but can see the longer-term promise of this management regime, particularly in view of the limitations in outlay now that there are no more TB and DB funds to be injected.

Same for both teams. Maybe Tranmere have loads of short-term injuries that would be resolved by the rearranged date? I really can't be bothered to check, but we should not assume it might only be better for us. It may be even better for them!

We need to take any positive we can from our stuttering season , so by not playing today the players can imagine a comfortable win .

I know we will need to have a buyer, but I can’t see Agard being here at end of window. There is a bodies issue but a striker must have been a priority anyhow.

In my eyes, it’s another game we can catch up on when we have more (hopefully improved) players in the building to help us kick on.

Frustrating for us not watching games, but blessing in disguise I think

Let's hope so, CR. However, it will have to be a shift from the norm for this to happen. Up to now, this season, every time we've had a long lay-off, we've come back with a terrible performance.

I've got my ticket for Mansfield, and am excited, but I'm expecting us to get a right pumping.

Why are you expecting a right pumping?  Mansfield’s form is very iffy. Especially their home form.

Actually that’s probably the reason. We are good at getting teams back on track.
Think it should be a good time to play them.  SHOULD.
