Where’s the best place for Fish and Chips in CENTRAL Doncaster as I’ll be in town/city earlier than usual on Saturday and I’ll need some dinner

Non as its all Cod crap! You need to go to Bell Lane in Acton. Possibly Auckley has good Haddock.

I would second both of those but choose Fishbits as it's directly on way to ground either walking or by car

Note it has its own Car Park to left if the front is full

Note it has a great Restaurant as well , more expensive of course but quality very good in either. Take away has lots of other foods ( check menu before you go)

Note if in Car you have to go left onto Carr House Road then turn up Chequer Road to double back to White Rose Way or go to Racecourse Roundabout and go to Ground that way

Roberts at Armthorpe who also own the Auckley Fish shop which wins the awards.Agree Fish Bits is good as well.

Pete's golden cod on carr house road used to be way better than fish bits when I worked near there. Saw John Ryan there on occasion too

I had a carry out and ate them walking to the ground, I put my chip papers in a bin unlike a lot of people, there a massive amount of litter down that way
