A couple of weeks ago when many of us were aghast at DS saying that our performances were 'just about there' (can't find the interview now to quote verbatim), well perhaps it shows he actually knows what he's talking about.  And yes, I can be included amongst those speaking up doubting him.

I still doubt the 5 at the back formation for effectiveness consistently and it certainly has restrictions based on personnel available. We are much better at the back with Olowu and would be better with Faulkner as an option too. 

I have no doubt Danny knows his football and can be a good manager. The energy seems positive from him. Personality wise Wellens was strict and appeared negative and Mcsheffery seemed philosophical but negative and lacking in energy. That's key. The ability to motivate.

The footballing style Danny is intent on is what the Donny fans want for sure. Hopefully he is backed to get the quality he needs to compete and that we can have a system for improving the fitness of players not in the starting eleven and for our players who seem to be lost from youth to first team.

To me it seems the players as a whole want to play for and respond to DS. Not something that could be said for previous managers.
