What is keeping the owners hanging around when the majority of the fans clearly dont want them?
Terry (and Dick) have done the hard yards so they can’t be expected to put in any more. If you came into a huge lottery win though the best thing we could do was to plough in £10-£20million producing best Academy set up outside top 6 in EPL. That’s a lifeline for years and years to come if that starts working. £10-£20 million on squad would probably get us into Championship but we couldn’t sustain that long term.
Extraordinary story just out in the Free Press saying we basically sold a group of 14 year old lads from the Academy to Man Utd and Leeds Utd for 'six figures'. I mean, it's an income stream, but quite something that pretty much none of our first team squad would trouble double figures let alone six figures, yet we've cashed in on a couple of 14 year olds.

First off, it is more than unlikely that I will ever have £500M - I don't gamble; so no lottery, no Euromillions etc and no rich relatives to leave me a legacy. But, for the sake of discussion, if I did then I have far better things to spend it on than giving it away to a football club, especially one with so many fans berating the current board, (who have done so much for the club), and demanding more. In fact, the first thing I'd do is leave Doncaster altogether - there's nothing to hold me here and I'd make quite a lot of people happy whilst retaining just enough to keep me comfortable. But as I say, it won't happen. I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with football as a whole. When a player can be paid £10M a year for 5 years just to wear a particular make of boots while some Nurses, (and other people in jobs), are reliant on foodbanks then there's something drastically wrong with the way people are valued. With respect to someone buying the club. Do you believe TB would just hand it over or would he have an asking price? Would the buyer have to replace the current business infrastructure? And do you seriously think that £2M a year in addition to our Club Doncaster/sustainability figures would be enough to guarantee promotion up to the Championship? And further, sustain us there? Or would the fans demand more if it wasn't working? There's an old saying. "The quickest way to become a millionaire is to be a billionaire and buy a football club".
If you can put the histrionics to the side for one moment, the point was that there is very big money to be made from ‘selling’ (hope that helps calm you) 14 year old kids, arguably more than we would get for many of our first team squad members.
It’s half seven on a Friday night. Get yourself off to the pub. Life’s too short.
