There aren't many images floating around online, but many will remember the original design for the stadium was quite different to what we ended up with. The floating roof, the newts, Martin winter, expandable to 20,000 ( :lol:) , the coin trail,  the rovers rally ....

Wonder what people would have thought when planning permission was granted in August 2005 that fast forward 18 years and we’d be sat mid-table in the league below where we were then.

Always felt that the design that was expandable to 20,000 without major reconstruction was the way to go. Looks a bit laughable at the moment but you never know
