I’m not even looking at the table or results tonight, fed up of having hope and then being churned out some of the displays we’ve seen.If we go up, or even end up in the playoffs this season it proves league 2 is absolutely shocking.Looking forward to ticking another ground off on Saturday though!
I’d rather we went up properly and got a team that could hold their own in League 1 than scrape through and have a repeat of last season again.I don’t think I’ll have to worry about that though.
Promotion via thé play offs has to be THE best way to go up. Financially & given our own history (albeit it all the sweeter for beating Leeds) it is an unforgettable experience for the fans & much needed revenue for the club to buy ´a squad’ capable of competing in lg1.

We need to be bold next season and get a squad together to enable us to say “we are aiming for the title”.We’ll probably be not top 7 in terms of finances with the clubs coming down / going up but the current top 3 show it’s not all about that.

I suspect none of the current top 3 have a top 5 possibly top 6 budget this season.Look at Sutton and Barrow both also probably bottom 5 budget still fighting for a top 7 place.Of the current top 3 Stevenage will be in the bottom 5 i suspect. Carlisle mid table. Leyton Orient 6th or 7th at a guess. I don’ know any budgets of course just best estimate. It’s all about the manager getting the best out of his squad. Budgets help but guarantee nothing. You only need to look at how long Bradford City have spent in League 2
