Liz Truss's Resignation Honours List
« on March 25, 2023, 05:45:33 pm by BillyStubbsTears »
1 peerage for every 12 days in charge.

2 to heads of far right lobby groups who have spent decades pushing for the sort of catastrophic economic policies that she f**ked up our economy with.

2 to the people who funded and ran her election campaign.

I said when she was PM that I genuinely feared for her mental health. If her state of mind is telling her that this is remotely reasonable, then frankly, thank Christ we didn't have a genuine crisis to deal with when she was PM.

What in the name of God up above were the people who had worked with her closely for a decade doing, thinking she was PM material?

That'd be a stretch even for her.

She had to blame Kwarteng for it all going wrong because...err...well...reasons.

Speaking of Kamikwasi, Led by Donkeys have just released video of 5 Senior Tories discussing what remuneration they'd like for working for a South Korean firm looking to expand into the UK.
The 5 are Kwarteng, surprise surprise Matt Hancock, Graham Brady, Gavin Williamson and erm another one I can't remember.
Williamson turned them down during the Zoom Interview (seriously. They were interviewed on Zoom)
Hancock asked for 1.5k an hour. Kwarteng asked for £10k A DAY, whilst good old Sir Graham only asked for £60k a Year with the proviso 'If you think that's not enough, let me know' lol.

That Led by Donkeys sting is quite astonishing.

In an ideal world, you want your leading politicians to be the best of the best.

In the real world you at least want them to have basic competence in decision making.

But look at this.

Hancock - Health Secretary in a pandemic.

Kwarteng - Chancellor of the Exchequer in an economic crisis.

Brady - Manager of the Parliamentary Tory Party during a series of political crises.

Not one of them even did basic due diligence on this company. The lack of the most fundamental self-discipline is mind blowing.

Be less of an issue if we paid them more.l but people don't like that point.  They've not really done anything wrong, it's a pointless story.

We should try attract the best, not career full time politicians.

They've not done anything LEGALLY wrong. What they have done is shown an almost unbelievable lack of discipline.

You reckon Russia and China aren't aware of how easily these leading Tory politicians can be duped?

As for MPs' salary, I'm entirely with you on that.

I agree MPs salary should be increased but that alone won't stop them behaving like this.  Second jobs banned and all funding from lobbyists eradicated.
