Someone get Louis on the blower. He'd need someone as Chairman (not JR) but he should have comfortably enough nowadays to keep us going forward.

Some of the comments towards JR on here IMO are disgraceful, no chairman is perfect but I think I speak for most on here that we’d do anything to have the JR days back. He had ambition, he had vision and it’s no coincidence we had lots of success in his tenure.

Anyone slating JR must have short memories and should be ashamed of themselves

The problem is that you don't know what he did and how he did it, but plenty do.

Its not about having a short memory, its about remembering how much damage he was prepared to do to have his own way. People like me were facing bankruptcy because of his Irish pals.

Ah...so its all about you and your pals, makes sense now.

I wonder what Louis thinks of JR...

With just 1 point from the first 7 games that season, and with the lowest budget in the league, I think, call it experiment or anything you like, something needed doing drastically.

I hate to upset you by pointing out facts, but O'Driscoll himself said at the outset to that season that, for the first time, he had a competitive budget in the Championship

Given the defence he'd put together on that budget, it struck me at the time that he was loading the bullets himself in the pearl-handled revolver.

So, who had a lower budget than Rovers in the Championship that season?

And besides that, With just 1 point from the first 7 games that season, I think, call it experiment or anything you like, something needed doing drastically.

It's quite amusing to read the hundreds of replies to John though and try and spot any Rovers connections. I've spotted Simon Shaw, Dave Harle, Chris Brown and Miles Cartwright so far who've all commented.

If by pals you mean Louis Tomlinson's solicitors, and the EFL then yes, we were all singing from the same song sheet saying it would be a disaster.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate what he did too. But the last thing I want for Rovers is a Chairman who lies to the fans, no matter how charismatic he is.
have we not got a chairman now that tells little porkies about the budget

Possibly! and not aware of any charisma either

Comparing John Ryan & David Blunt? One has more enthusiasm in his little finger.

No one could have missed that,  could they?

I take it that all these replies are on Facebook, I’m not so is there anyway of viewing them without being on Facebook

Wonder if JR has maintained the dubbin on his boots....

He could come out of retirement for his 20 year anniversary (of his last appearance) at home to Colchester on 25 April 2023........... he would be just days of 73 years old mind.

“Celebrating Rovers promotion next season thanks to Terry’s millions” attached to a picture of him holding a pint.

A bit tongue in cheek I’d imagine

He's always complimentary of Terry and Baldwin. It's Blunt I get the impression he can't stand.
