The Goodman substitution
« on April 10, 2023, 06:14:01 pm by glosterred »
What was the point, if he was going to bring him on he should have done it far, far earlier and not on the 9th minute of injury time when there was 9 minutes indicated. He should have brought him on at the latest when they equalised not when he did. Just goes to show he’s clueless.

Another DS master stroke. I wonder what he said to Jack before he came on? Something like “remember trust the process Jack and show us what you can do in 30 seconds”

Don’t think he got 30 seconds

To waste time so that we couldn’t get an equaliser. I bet he was furious first half with us scoring one of those goal things

feel for the lad.
18yrs old.
being brought on for the last few seconds when his team has lost. Again. Toxic negativity inside the ground from home fans. Boo's from the SS. Is this DS's idea of youth development.?

It could be a bit dejecting for him too. Can see the game is going against us and we need an out ball to stop the pressure just coming back. Then Hurst and Goodman sit there not been considered until the bed has been shat.

Good managers are proactive. DS is on some sort of time lag

Not at rovers you have to be on the pitch for a certain amount of time

Could still be playing now and we wouldn't have got an equaliser

It'd be about 1-5 if they were still playing now.

And we'd still have 3 centre halves on and only one up front!

It did feel very on brand to watch us make a time wasting substitution just after going behind in added time

Both Barlow and Agard were out on their feet after about 70mins, that is when he should have subbed Goodman on

And that was because the man masquerading as a coach has restricted their game time, Agard was excellent before he ran out of steam

Only reason I can think was so Barlow could get applauded off for his goal and man of the match, he new there would just be boo’s at full time
