Help needed
« on April 10, 2023, 07:16:14 pm by scawsby steve »
Being only IT semi-literate, can one of you guys help me out here?

Every few posts, I get a message saying " Your last post from this IP was less than 5 seconds ago", even though it might have been several minutes since my last post. It sometimes even does it with my first post of the day. I then have to write the whole bloody post out again.

Why does it do this, and what can I do about it?

Probably a bug in the program, it normally only comes up when a search is done too soon after the first one.

the trick which I have learned the hard way is before you send cut (thats control x)  the message so it disappears from the screen then past it back  (control v)- so it reappears

the computer is NOW holding that information ----  Then before you press SEND ....   to test my cunning plan  open your email system and paste the text  into the email as if you were going to send the text to someone

Then press SEND on here

if this site loses the info then just paste it back from your unsent email at your leisure

I have done this trick when i am writing long messages

Once you get confidence you can just cut the message and paste it back - without backing it up with a pretend email
