I’ve been keeping faith that this would happen since he was spotted watching a few times recently.

I know there’s a temptation to say why didn’t he take it a few games ago to see the players he likes but I think it smart letting the season wash away. Keep the new voice waiting till preseason he can come in properly fresh and not get brought down with the negativity of this season.

Probably said the same about Wellens though

McCann is a huge coup if we get it over the line.

He would walk into most league 1 jobs.

Peterborough is the only real blemish on his record. For whatever reason, it just never works out for him there.

Ive seen him at about 4 games, i think he will have seen enough to know what is needed and what is not. If you believe some of the comments on the other threads hes already sounding out players!

If its him, he will want to hit the ground running, and be seen to do so. And i'm fully confident he will do just that.

Id be absolutely shocked if it isnt McCann as new manager. Everything seems to point towards him.

The club needs to get the fanbase back onside again.

I feel appointing McCann would go along way towards that.

Day 3 and all is quiet so far.  Good to see the club keeping things under wraps even if as a fan it's bloody annoying.

From Rob Staton on Twitter, a few moments ago:

Understand Grant McCann will return to Doncaster Rovers and be their next manager, replacing Danny Schofield #DRFC
