I've noticed Mcindoe's name has been nominated by several posters on this thread .

So , how come you let him sign for us in 2006 for a knock down £120k ?

It's a genuine question btw .

Sharp, Copps, Sullivan. Its a tough one though.

Long story short he fell out with our manager at the time and got shipped out in short order. He wasn't the only one around that time either.

Because we sell most of our best players too cheaply.  Probably is the answer. Seriously good left winger.
The best we have had in my time watching Rovers.
Cotterill, also very good & Glynn Snodin when he played same position in a 4-4-2  He alternated between left midfield and left back.
On the right hand side, Ian Miller, John Buckley and Copps are the outstanding players imo.

Favourite player. I don’t see why Copps should be in everyone’s top 3
He would get in my top 5 definitely.

Harry Gregg
Alick Jeffrey
Bert Tindall

Well, you bugger, Geronimo, you've just started posting and straight away you've stole my thunder.

I was just about to post the same three. Great minds and all that. Also, you'll soon get used to my pedantry. It's "Tindill", not "Tindall".

Wey hey.

Very few still alive will have seen Peter Doherty, but not only did he have Coppinger-like skill, but he scored more than a goal every other game, and of course there was Alick, more dynamic, but surely seriously considered by everyone. Third place is difficult, but with the ability to seemingly score more than he missed, I’d go for Laurie Sheffield.
