Got bags of pace & likes to take defenders on get a cross or a shot in.

Can play on either flank & another signing who will run all day.

Looks like this is the injection of pace GM says he wants in the side.

Joining up with the club as soon as preseason starts so he’ll hit the ground running (pun intended!) come kick off day.

All excited now! Just been to the club shop to buy the new home shirt before my hols next week. Very striking, bold colours and design, love it! Watch out for the sizes though guys! the XL was just a bit too small, so I went for the 2XL which looks like a normal XL size when I tried it. The staff say sizes look a bit smaller than previous season's shirts. Hisaronu is gonna be ablaze with colour when I'm out strutting me stuff wearing this beauty!!

I'll look out for you Rover n Out in Hisaranu, I'm off there myself imminently.  Looks like I'll have to pack  my Millers top (although I'm not a big fan of adults wearing replica tops unless playing sport).  First round on you bud  ;)

No probs Grumps, I'm taking the new shirt as I just want to cheer me'sen up, and remind me'sen that no matter what the last 3 seasons have been like, I'm still a Rover through and through, so I'm not hiding away from our last shocking seasons. Lot's to look forward to, and delighted to welcome an old Miller (Wood) to the Keepmoat! See you on the strip next week!

The 'other' Tyler Roberts has just left Leeds and signed for Birmingham City on a 4 year deal.

Seems a good lad.

Nice to hear a winger describe themselves as direct and want to take on their man and entertain. I feel like this is coached out of them for possession purposes nowadays.

It’s knowing when to do it and when not to do it and knowing what your capabilities are.

Coached out of them?? Grealish, Saka, Foden, Rashford, Maddison… the England team is full of players that are mega at beating men. English players are probably better at it than ever.

Fair enough you’ve got more footy knowledge than me. I just feel like nowadays the winger gets it, comes inside and passes back to the full back / midfielder more often.

There’s definitely less beating them on the outside and getting a cross in.

It’s probably true for us, or at least for the last few seasons. Hurst started doing this but soon ended up as you say.

As much as I agree with you, what I would say is you don't often see wingers getting to the line and crossing for player's running in. Mainly due to how the game has changed and tactics have changed how we play the game. I suppose it's the old English 4,4,2 up and at Em mentality that's been coached out of our game at most levels. It's definitely helped and pushed the national team to our best tournament's in a long time. We now believe we can make the semi final rather than getting sent home at the quarter final.

When I watch football from back in the day it’s striking how often players were genuinely one v one. Now the opposition gets so many players back behind the ball that just knocking it past and chasing it isn’t an option.

Nice interview. You could tell he was a little nervous and excited so hope that translates onto the pitch.
