I thought he was pretty poor. His songs are obviously great but his voice and performance are nowhere near what they were.
Shirley Bassey.
Disagree about his voice. I thought it sounded great. After enjoying this year's Glastonbury, I had trepidations about watching Elton. Despite having written some great songs(the music side), I never liked the glitzy clothes and OTT glasses. However, last night was about connecting with the audience, which he did with unbelievable emotion and feeling. Some of the TV pundits who do Glastonbury every year were rating it as one of the greatest headliner performances they'd ever seen at the place, with one of the biggest ever crowds. They were packed in like sardines, all of them singing, and some even in tears, people of all ages.Absolutely memorable.

I have to say without seeing any pictures of Eltons crowd that The Stones was the biggest audience I've seen and been in they were going back into the camping areas as they were for Kylie or Dolly and the last 2 were Legend slots and as for connecting with the audience, hit after hit, need I say more.It also depends on who is headlining on the Other Stage The Park or West Holts which will affect the numbers.I'm looking forward to catching up on this years Glasto when we get back home on Sunday, failure to get tickets for this year prompted a couple of foreign hols insteadGlasto 2024 better watch out if I get tickets

Thought Elton was ace, played all the hits and his voice was great for his age.
