Rossington tomorrow
« on July 07, 2023, 09:50:33 am by Reg of the Rovers »
Really looking forward to the first run out for Grant's new boys tomorrow at Rosso, enjoyed our local friendlies last few seasons as a curtain raiser.

Forecast suggests thundery showers though, so might get a repeat of the Sociedad downpour! Bring your raincoats chaps!

Looking forward to it.

Going to The Styrrup for a few beforehand and they’re running a shuttle bus down to the ground

Styrrup to watch the cricket then make our way to the ground sounds like a lovely Saturday.

7 of us going, the shuttle bus from the Styrrup sounds like a plan as we have one with walking difficulties.

Anyone know a good place to park? Not been to a game there before. I was in the ticket office this morning and the lady was telling someone on the phone that they could pay on the day.

On previous visits, you could park in the Welfare grounds and it’s a short walk round the cricket pitch.

A team for each half. Everyone involved other than Anderson, Ravenhill & Louis Jones.

Listen to latest interview from Grant only Anderson Ravenhill and Jones who’s got a finger problem so he could be out first two or three games. Didn’t mention Taylor but he said before he would miss the start of re season so we will see. So there will 22 players two 11 on show with a few subs.

Official capacity is just short of 1700, there have been 1000 tickets sold so it’s first come first served for the other 700 spaces of cougars if anyone counts.
Excellent bar at the ground and usually have a bottle bar too (assuming they can sell beer near the pitch although it’s a friendly)

First team of the season, or should I say first starting XI of the season?

Reo getting a start? Didn't think he would be getting a start, or is it to try and hope he bags a brace and someone takes him off our hands?

Hope he plays well though

Reo must have shown a good attitude to GM for him to play him so hope the lad impresses.

Sounds like Jack Senior is having some good touches early on.

Bailey looks ok, as does Rowe. After that, I’m struggling. A lot of huffing and puffing. Griffiths awful.

To say there's supposedly a lot of Rovers fans there today, some from this forum, there's not much being talked about on here.

Is it that crap?

It’s the first pre-season games, what do you expect?

I've not mentioned expectations. I asked a question.
