A difference for me

Each and every week I tune in and stream the game on my TV via IFollow at home in St. John's. I used to watch as much as could in person when in Donny, but my career and life took me elsewhere my head has always been with the Rovers though. The last few seasons it's been hard to watch from the comfort of the house.. it's an option just to watch the class footballers of the Premier League at 1130am on a Saturday morning here... but I have always watched the Rovers and it became a horrible negative thing to do. But Grant and Cliff have brought back a positivity and despite the results in the main it's a vastly different experience than what we have been made to suffer through. The players have been putting in the effort and for all Mo Faals errors he's a completely different loan than Cukur for example and Ironside is levels above that of Bogle and co. Today was a win and I was delighted to see Ben Close get the goal, he's a proper professional too.  Get behind the lads every week it's already a better season to watch than what we've all endured together. Not every game can be a classic.

Next week I'm gonna book my hotels for May near Wembley and we'll base our next trip around friends who are getting married early June and also the playoff finals.

I think nail biting might sum the season up thus far for this supporter Canadian but, far better fayre than the previous 3 seasons.

I see you’ve slipped into the ‘native tongue’ however so as a typical Yorkshireman, proud of our English language, I feel the necessity to remind you that it’s ‘Going to’ not & never ‘Gonna’.

Apart from that, it’s all good innit (Taken from the Inuit Tribes meaning for ‘All is well when one opens eyes to see new day’).

Yes I have enjoyed all the games so far barring the 1st two v Harrogate where we never got out of 2nd gear & the Newport game. Fortunately I didn’t go. The only one I have missed so far. I did watch it on the stream though and it was like watching the team last season all over again.
Since that match we have played with purpose and looked to attack teams. Something we were incapable of doing last season.
The results may not have gone the way we hoped but there has been some entertaining football.
It’s very much a new team and with all the injuries we have had we have not had a settled team. Don’t think there has been any 2 consecutive games where at least 2/3 changes haven’t been made.

GM will get this Club moving in the right direction. It might take him a little longer than we were hoping for but I am very confident we will be serious promotion challengers next season.
I haven’t written this one off yet. Let’s see where we are at end of November.
But to answer the OP yes I am enjoying going to football matches again as is my Grandson.

It's made a he'll of a difference sending out reasonable reports to approximately 50 or so Exiled Rovers world wide "I'll tell thi" Much better than the dross of the last few years. And I still have room for more on my mailing list if anyone is interested. Regards Ray

No probs, CC3. My favourite subject when doing my degree was Sociolinguistics. It was fascinating. One of the best things I remember was the Barnsley vernacular for "You need to wash your ears out".

"Tha wents to wesh thi lug-oils aht". Priceless.

After reading your post Canadian, I was curious to see just where you were in Canada, as St. John's didn't geographically mean anything to me. After Google Mapping where you are, I must say it's a beautiful part of the world you live in, and very colourful too. You definitely need sun glasses on walking by those houses!
