Brilliant thread, Wolfie, but not PC enough for a well known wokey staunch liberalist like myself.

It should be Flying Scotsperson.

Saw it thunder through Joan Croft, but it was so quick, didn't have time to turn me video on.
Didn't expect it to be black.

Saw it go through Arksey crossings, a bit disappointing, 1 carriage, no steam, no whistle.

Did you know that Flying Scotsman's tender was previously on A4 60034 Lord Faringdon?

I know some A4s had a name change and that Peregrine was one of them but I didn't know it became Lord Faringdon.

I used to know a bloke who was a fireman on Flying Scotsman and he said it wasn't a good loco to work on. Apparently, it was a nightmare to fire and even now will only run on Anthracite.

.... Mind you, having said that The Scotsman's a bit of a Trigger's Broom these days with all the replacement parts it's had so it's probably OK now. Some reckon it's a newer loco than 60163 Tornado!
