I very much doubt that Gove would have been there without some kind of security. It slmost chokes me to say it but I agree with Dottie Doris on this one

Got to ask yourself who took the video

look at the title ''Michael Gove - More footage of Jihadis harassing MG in the build up to the Victoria station assault''

there were plenty of coppers with gove at the station surely there'd be arrests?

Irrespective of whether Gove was there to provoke a reaction or was simply an unfortunate victim of being in the wrong place at the wrong time he was the victim of being mobbed.

If one is worse than the other, why is it wrong to say so?

Surprised you are posting stuff from a far-right propoganda organisation tyke.

But not surprised they haven't done the same for their 'protest' march.

Just because you don't know doesn't mean everybody else doesn't know either, and if you're determined to close your ears to those who do know through being first-hand witnesses, you'll never know.

i know many first-hand witnesses, as many of my friends and colleagues were working there that day, so you can presume what you like, were you there or have you just read the papers that suit you again?

Yeah but a massively higher percentage of people from the EDL march got arrested than the percentage of the 300,000 people at the peace march. That's just the facts. The EDL march had more people arrested in general despite much lower numbers turning out.

Sydney and Wilts, they are just asking real people on the march questions and letting them speak. He did say at the end “there were a lot of nice normal people out to show solidarity”.

But, there was a man there denying Oct 7th because “where were the death certificates?”

Another wanted to send the Jews to Germany if they had so much historical guilt.

The general theme was that the well-intentioned (some of them) people questioned did not separate Hamas from Palestine and that any violence from their side is justified because this is a typical oppressor / oppressed set up.

You shouldn’t dispel first hand evidence of something just because it comes from an organisation with different politics to you. And just because tyke posts something from unherd doesn’t mean he stands for everything they do. Nor does it me for having this discussion.

Perhaps this is more palatable for you. An interview in the Guardian.

“Momentum founder says leftwingers ‘in denial’ about pro-Palestinian slogans”

https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2023/nov/12/momentum-founder-jon-lansman-says-leftwingers-in-denial-about-pro-palestinian-slogans

He compares Hamas to the far-right and says the repeated “from the river to the sea” chants make him very uncomfortable. It would seem this is a commonplace chant on these marches. Yes it isn’t used by everyone but it also isn’t called out either. Nor are other extremist signs and slogans.

A woman walked unchallenged with a sign that spliced the Star of David with a swastika. Yet a man stands with a sign that says “Hamas = ISIS” and he is physically intimidated and accosted.

What would happen if someone carried a sign that said even “free Palestine from Hamas and Israel”  I wonder?

Plenty other of examples were put out by the Met police (not a right wing rag) on Twitter and are easy to find.

Yes the far right who turned up were a bunch of thugs and losers whipped up in to a frenzy by Braverman. We all agree on that. One turns up towards the end of the clip. But we are talking about something else now.

Couple of things nc, I challenged tyke on the content of his video and the title of it, at that time tyke couldn't produce anything to support his view that it was 'both sides the same' thingy.

The protest march attendance was, in numbers at the bare minimum 300-1, around 300000 to 1000.

The police stated that the vast majority arrested were far-right therefore if you do the numbers if all arrested were Palestinian supporters (say 150) then of those marching that is less than around 0.05%, but possibly around 10% of the far right nut jobs.

There were those in the main march that shouldn't have been there, I have not said otherwise.

Vox pops, to me should always be taken with a large dose of salts unless one can vouch for those doing the editing as we don't know who was selected or otherwise.

The main stream media do not get it correct 100% of the time, but of those that have strict journalistic standards they have to be more trustworthy than absolutely anyone in youtube.

I do not condone violence.

I do not condone racism.

they did yes alot were arrested to stop any trouble happening and hadnt actually committed a crime, saying that there were many of both sides looking for trouble as there always is in situations like this
