Boy have I changed my mind You didn't like the Doors, DU, but then you decided to break on through to the other side.

Then and now.Scotland has produced some fine bands. Jesus & Mary Chain, Cocteau Twins, Primal Scream, Blue Nile, Churches. But if I came from Scotland and I visited anywhere else in the world, I'd feel like that German student character that Harry Enfield used to play. "I feel I should apologise on behalf of my country for Deacon Blue."

Slade for me until I saw them at Reading what an eye opener
Never really had much time for The Proclaimers.Off out tonight to watch the guitarist from the Proclaimers!

Fantastic song but I've always like the Proclaimers. I was six years old when Letter From America came out and IIRC they performed it on Going Live with Philip Schofiled (whatever happened to him?!) and Sara Greene (even as a young kid I massively fancied her!). I guess if anything I would expect my opinion of Te Proclaimers to be the antithesis of this thread i.e. rated them then but think they're shite now as six year olds aren't known for their excellent taste but I'm sticking by my opinion that they're a great duo/band.One band that has warmed on me is The Libertines. I thought they were massively over-rated at the time but now if I hear one of their songs in the car I'll be belting out the lyrics.
