The cars made in China and while the UK may hit low emissions targets its because we don't build anything, the emissions from producing have been outsourced. Those emissions are sometimes added to some calculations as indirect or "scope 3" emissions but not usually. We don't manufacture much but the once skilled folk who produced things can look out to sea at nice windmills on the way to the dole office now all in the name of the environment
