I think the point about age and season ticket holder is that if this type was your archetypal numbnuts he is likely to have been caught making trouble long before now and if your focus is on actually catching those likely to be carrying devices then you are reducing the odds significantly by very obviously targeting 60+ year olds.  Filo's five searches this season suggests they are either searching a very high proportion of those attending or are focusing on the wrong type.

Whether you call it profiling or not under the equality act it’s unlawful. You can’t seriously think that it’s okay to not search someone on the basis that they are from Nigeria and carry crutches?

Been to Wimbledon (Tennis) many times. Searched every time as are probably 99% of people going in.
Now let’s just say the clientele at a footy match is somewhat different, so I wouldn’t take it personally.

Searched today or rather scanned. The bloke stopped and asked to look in my pocket as his metal; detector had gone off . It was my reading glasses

My mate entered 30 minutes later and they found something equally mundane , so if they are looking for flares have they got any metal to detect ?
