Superb performance - the best since......?

Rovers were outstanding today particularly in the first half. 3-0 could quite easily have been 5 or 6. A joy to watch.

For context MK had won 8 and drawn 2 of their last 10 league matches. Yet today they were simply blown away.

I'm struggling to remember the last time Rovers played so well.

8 of today's starting XI also started against Morecambe just over 2 weeks ago - one of Rovers' worst performances in a long time.

It's even harder to recall 2 such radically different performances within such a short time period.

Last performance of a similar stature for me was when we beat Ipswich at home 4-1 in October 2020 under Darren Moore and Josh Sim’s tore them to pieces. Just before this horrible rot started. I really can’t remember another performance that I’ve witnessed in-between that, that was as dominating as yesterday.

Grimsby away last season maybe? Especially the first half. Probably one of the only games last season where I thought we looked a proper team that was exciting to watch.

I thought we were just talking about this season 

If we go back further I can remember when we were 6-0 up against Darlington at half-time, but we eased up and only scored 10

They were flying high and ended up being promoted. We played them off the park and the
