The cold has set a slight permafrost in large areas of the country.this will be exasperated by areas of most pitches being in shade. VP has large areas of shade that get no sun, esp at this time of year. The sun has been on my back garden all day today. And yet it’s still solid underfoot , even with daytime highs of 4 degrees. With daytime highs in Bradford tomorrow at ko time not forecast to be above 5 or 6 this was absolutely the right call. And how refreshing to get a game called off well in advance, instead of 10am of match day, (or later) when some supporters are already on their way.
Oh look. That tin pot club Farsley Celtic game is called off. Can stop the conspiracy theories of why the game was called off
Both the matches at Harrogate and York have been postponed in the last hour so it’s looking like BCFC called it right yesterday.
Our game at Stevenage called off at 1pm , you couldn't feckin make it up .Feck our fans , disgraceful .

On the Bradford forum the natives have passed comments on the postponement, there’s also a photo of the pitch covering and rather strangely the “ home” penalty area and parts of pitch either side aren’t covered ?? I can’t find out why it’s not

The pitch was fully defrosted and playable at 11:45 today
All good and well getting up at the crack of dawn to walk around the pitch. Pitch would have been fine by midday. Proper investigation from the FA required into this, seems like Bradford have tried to pull a fast one. I hope grant is taking this seriously
