The ball from Haks for the fifth is beautiful. A bit of bend on it.

Matty Craig knew where he was placing that before the ball even came to him. His vision is 2-3 passes ahead of most at this league and that finish demonstrates that. So easy to underestimate it as it was the least flamboyant of all of them, but for me, it was classy.

Adelakun instrumental today.
That pass with the outside of his boot leading to the fifth was class.
Rovers need to secure him full time come season end.

He’s out of contract at the end of the season I think, he’s already free to speak with other clubs

Great to see Rovers play like we should have been all season. At last we have got there. Bring on the rest of the season.

I hope the rovers management have seen enough of him to know that he is exactly what rovers need to push on next season. There will be other clubs sniffing around him. His agent will be getting a hard on over his performances since switching to rovers, and will be singing his praises around prospective clubs.
Just make it happen.
If he ends up at another lge 2 rival for next season, then that would speak volumes about the clubs actual ambitions.

He is quality, like I said a couple of games ago, he could be our new Herbie.

So if another League 2 club offered him £5.000
a week do you think we should try to offer more to get him?
That’s a serious question NR
Yes I would love us to sign him but at what price. Don’t ever want to see our club get into financial difficulties due to being reckless with the wage bill.

More performances like that and you have to be discussing a contract with him. I’m assuming Lincoln have loaned him to us with a view to us getting him on a free, as he has no future with them.

I think that’s 21 goals conceded by Grimsby in the last 5 home games?

Incredible.
Interesting reading on the Fishy Forum tonight!

Are Stockport, Wrexham, Notts County, Mansfield, and Gillingham in financial difficulties, Camps? No, and look where they are in the league.

If you want quality, you have to pay for it. Adelakun is quality, and we need players like him if we're serious about promotion next season.

If Lincoln offer him a contract worth the same or more than his existing one do you have to pay a fee?

No that’s only with junior players under 21 I think.

In this division we should be able to offer him as good a terms as anyone else considering he must be local by now having played for Scunny, Lincoln, Hull.

I’d think the problem would be L1 clubs wanting him.

If he carries on enjoying as much as he did today he might just fancy a crack at promotion next season.

SS they may not be in financial trouble now but down the line in 2/3 yrs will they be?
You can’t live beyond your means unless you are being bank rolled as is the case at Wrexham.

Yes of course we need players like Adulaken.
All I am saying is we can’t play Russian roulette with the clubs finances.
If TB is serious about getting Rovers challenging at the top end of League 1 again then obviously the wage bill will have to be increased very substantially.

Well I’m guessing that’s what Close is on at the minute so take your pick.

If geography is a factor for him there’s only really Barnsley and Derby in L1. Lincoln don’t want him. He did mention he knows the area (sorry cbcb) in his interview when he signed.

Haks is 28 in the summer. Those aforementioned clubs would probs look at someone younger or with more pedigree.

He didn’t excel at Lincoln in L1 and flopped at Gillingham last year in L2.

He’s at that stage of his career where a big factor will be knowing the coaching staff can get the best out of him.

Exactly bigH. Craig is an upgrade on Close and I’d back McCann to find another next season.

Lots of ifs in this one.
Reliable source says he is on 5 k a week at Lincoln. The truth around his wages will never been known outside of Lincoln’s management , the player and his agent.
Lincoln may have offed him not just because he isnt getting game time, but also to lessen the load perhaps on his wage bill? Maybe he just doesn’t fit their game plan currently.
His current wage bill is for a lge one side. A drop in league would no doubt involve a drop in wages too. He is 27 too.
Then there are the wishes of the player. He may be happier playing for a club than warming a bench?
I just hope rovers are giving very serious consideration to taking him on for a contract. He would be free. When was the last time we had a single player make such a diff in the final third? Marquis?

For whatever reason he didn't seem to fit in a Lincoln, style of play or whatever your guess is as good as mine. If he's in his last 6 months of contract i think he can talk to who he wants. and sign pre contracts etc. If he's here to showcase his talents I'll even take that but on current showings get him signed

Surely got a good chance of signing TLT and Adelakun on permanents. Neither look likely to get a look in at their parent clubs.

I think fans are being very optimistic with their thoughts/hopes of signing both or either TLT and Haks. If Haks is prepared to drop his wages and play for a manager who rates him highly then possibly he may be here next season. I remember when Wilkes was here how we were going to sign him, look where that ended up

We can be as ambitious as we want, but if his agent has other plans for whatever reason, he could end up somewhere else.

An indication of our ambition would be to try to sign him, and others of similar abilities, not necessarily that we are successful with specific signings..
