I think Connections is one of those games where you are more likely to fail if you embark with a negative frame of mind.
I've had runs of failures where I was beaten before I'd started, purely down to attitude.
On this current run, I start every puzzle thinking I will succeed and even if at first it looks daunting, I take my time rather than rushing in.
A new tactic I use is I look at the 2 words in the top left of the puzzle and keep shuffling, until I spot a Connection between those 2 words, then look to see if anything else would fit in.
That's how I got the P first today.
Plus I've done better since the homophones man got the sack!

Must admit I was bamboozled from seeing it today

Still bamboozled after I saw results

But you were right . I was in surrender mode once I went 2 x Y fail

At least I get a few attempts now without the will I get it , will I get a streak

I'm happy enough with 20 because I was sure I had reached 20 before in the past but no evidence

At least now I have it in my locker now

Well, after explaining the secrets of my success yesterday, I failed abjectedly today.
Nada. Zilch. Nothing.
3 x1a Y and a wrong Connection.
Dismal.

Thought I was a cert for the quadruple fail but managed to solve it with one life left.
Didnt know the Blue but it helped me get the purple.

P ... Kicked myself uphill and down dale. I added loads of different suffixes to some but not one prefix . That would have saved me the scrambling and hoping

Lol TT. I started down a 'Rock' rabbit hole, but then got back on track with YBPG.
For the B and P, I had 3 out of 4 and guessed the last one correctly.
As for the G? I don't like it.

I was pretty negative yesterday after I'd done Wordle. I did my Wordscapes latish on , then having ignored Connections till 9 as I "didn't like the look of it" I then got it

I'm with Mug in a way , but got G , then 1@Y x 4in a super Perm

Realistically that is an oxymoron as it was a disaster of a Perm.

Should have nailed the B though
