What a player he looked by the way.
And I bet he’s at no more than 75%.

Really excited by this one.

If offer him a contract for next season right now after that 45 minutes. Get a pre season in his legs and he'd be way above this level.

Agreed looks above this level on my first viewing.

Won all his heading duels, looked to have pace & strength. If he’d have headed his opportunity into the ground the bounce could well have beaten the keeper instead of straight into his arms. Either side of him too could have made it 3-0 however, I’m being greedy!

Given he’s been out for so long he showed what potential he had. I’d give him a contract.

You can see that he is quality above L2 level.
Probably a better player than Ironside.
Great to have him as an option and as has been said, make sure we get him for next season.

At 33 I don't think we should get too carried away with a half decent 45 minutes. Let's judge at the end of the season.

If anyone thinks I’m getting carried away with his performance today, they are absolutely right!

You don't have the physical presence, touch and vision that he showed today by accident.

Get

Him

Signed.

He's got a very good touch and ball control. Did not look out of juice either playing alone for 45 minutes. I thought he looked quality.

Can see why Coventry fans still hold him in such high esteem.

I think he has all the attributes of Ironside but with a little more pace, on his cameo today, he seems like he could add something to us next season, he has 2 more months to prove he can stay fit and show he’s robust, then he’s done himself everything he can to earn something for next year

Was really impressed by his aerial prowess, just need to gamble on the flick on because he was winning nearly every one!

He’s a unit, too. Solid. Agree we should offer him a deal.

For the 1st 15 - 20mins I thought we had lost our out ball with Ironside off. After that though he came into it winning his headers, holding it up and laying off. Well done Max

No rested with a busy week coming up.

A brave call by GM only one goal up against a decent side.

I thought he looked exactly what he is - a very talented footballer who hasn’t played a competitive match for two years.

On that brief showing, once he regains that match sharpness he will be a real asset and a handful for opposing defenders.

His timing in jumping for headers was every bit as good as Joe’s, and that’s praise indeed.

If only he could have got an angle on that header, he’d have marked his debut with a goal.

Hard to judge after 45 minutes on the pitch but I think GM should give him a year’s contract.

As said before, Coventry fans speak very highly of him.

I'd say Biamou, TLT, and Haks are no brainers to try and sign for next season.

If we can keep Adelikun, Ironside, Biamou, Hurst we will be one hell of an attacking threat next season. No more pundits will be able to say we've got no goals in us for a change.

Ah yes but.

Any contract must have a value mustn’t it. Would you give him a contract for £500 a week or £5 a week? You see it’s got to be binary.

Now, try & follow my logic.

Value to the team ‘divided’ by his performance vs an average L2 player + (or indeed -) the average L2 wage for a player in his position then, take an ordinary six sided dice & give it a good shake inside a receptacle (a whisky tumbler is my preference - I have rather a few of them) & if the dice lands on any figure above 1, offer him a years contract.
