Well the Police have enough evidence to interview Rayner if they didn’t they would have told the Tory’s where to get off, clearly Andy Burnham and his Labour Bros had been putting pressure on the GMP not to get involved but when N0 10 rings You Jump to it!

You don't need to have evidence before you interview someone, you interview someone to get evidence!

Really? Both things the Tories/Guido Fawkes are alledging Rayner committed are time limited. Even if she did do whatever it is she is alledged she can't be prosecuted for them.

You reckon that's a good use of police time and money? If only the Daily Mail whould put every crime committed in the UK every day then they might get investigated.

And on the subject of 'evidence' - (ie something you have seen in the papers) here's the Daily Mail apology that it was 'mistaken' in claiming & printing something about the Clapham chemical attacker that was not true.

They don't care if it's time limited it's that it happened.  Given the comments she made about Boris eating sandwiches at the wrong time with wrong people she really has to be squeaky clean.

Hey up Glynn, I doubt very much that GMP had any interest in looking into the affairs of an opposition MP ,regarding to such trivial matters as Dodging Capital gains Tax. Clearly some one at Downing Street has been doing some Sleuthing and GMP will have been presented with a dossier of evidence which has caused them to get involved,  Rayner should have kept her ‘Estate Girl’ gob shut instead of calling names, believe me there will be enough evidence to charge an interview will merely be a formality!

This is the sort of decent Tory MP that the party used to be full of.

https://x.com/richardhorton1/status/1780130294927970414

Yes, of course Rayner will have to resign if she's found to have broken the law. But the thought of her being hounded by a billionaire Tory who is a resident of Belize so he pays f**k all tax, and who has a history of chumming up to Russian kleptocrats is, frankly, disgusting.

It isn’t pretty, I agree bst.
However I don’t think it is out of the realms of reality for any politician to do similar if it makes life difficult for a member of another Party

Playground Politics, ignoring the real issues, what they were elected to do, instead trying to discredit an opponent, as Rayner has said if she is found guilty of a criminal offence she will resign

Gobshite, subjected to the same package of slime and innuendo that she was perfectly happy to subject others to in the past decides she doesn't like it!

Nobody cares about the money!
