Hakeeb
« on March 29, 2024, 05:11:48 pm by Prez »
I dont care what it costs, i dont care how much he wants.... Just bloody give it him and get him signed!!!
(yes i know its just not that simple)

Another incredible goal out of nothing. We were superb today, apart from 2 awful misses, defended magnificently! No complaints though over the red card. Very late.

Sterry my mom.

He's surely attracting a lot of attention - I would say championship downwards. Massive test for the club in terms of what are their ambitions.

An absolute must sign, if TB sanctions this one it will show a massive sign of intent to get out of league 2 and upto league 1, a lot of factors to take into account though and of all clubs to outmuscle all of league 2 and most of league 1 will Wrexham have an eye on him with his POM for Feb and his current form and strike rate.

He could be the difference between promotion or mid table next season.

Don't panic - Hakeeb's performances are a reflection of how good things are at Rovers - I'm hearing all the lads who ran their blood to water today are onboard - and why not - whatever happens this season, next season will be awesome.

The thing in our favour is he wasn’t pulling up any trees in league 1 hence why he’s come to us. Saying that plenty of clubs with deeper pockets than us in league 2.

He’s good enough for league one
It’s just our manager knows how to get the best out of him

Weirdly, despite commentary raving about his performance today, I don't think it's the best we've seen him play.
He has that extra bit of quality where it counts though, the goal, & the moment he nearly did the exact same in the first half, are that x factor.
Not sure we've a chance of signing him but we can dream.

There’s no way he had any right to score today, he was out on the wing with 3 men marking him. Absolute monster in league 2, think he’ll end up higher up the pyramid.

Just looked on the bbc site and they have given Ironside an assist for the goal by Hacks.
A bit tenuous don’t you think.

What annoys me is that while that was technically an assist, a player who puts in a wicked cross that goes in off a defender does not get an assist (e.g. Molyneux)

I’m sure we’ll do everything we possibly can to keep Haks. We’ll make a good offer and it’s up to him. I genuinely feel this is a good move for him where he’ll play in a system that suits him.

For the umpteenth time, if we don’t sign him it’s not an indication at all of our ambition..  if he doesn’t want to stay or is advised not to, no amount of cash demonstrating our ambition would make a difference.

Lots of different reasons for a player to go or stay (family/security), but one thing is for sure MCcann can set up styles of play to suit certain players giving them a platform to Perform at their best and in time get a lucrative move… he did it with Marquis he’ll do it with Haks.

We've got a pretty good chance of signing him I imagine. His history with McCann and form with us this season will go in our favour. However, if a club like Wrexham throw money at him then nobody can be blamed if he ends up elsewhere.
