If we can’t sign TLT (which sadly is looking doubtful) it does go to show that there are goalkeepers ‘out there’ who I’m sorry but have ‘more about them’ than Louis or Ian have ever shown.

We have missed a keeper like him for past 3 seasons

There are 3 goalkeepers at Hull ahead of him, so currently he does not have much prospect of 1st team starts unless the other three go down the order. Consequently, assuming he does not get “promoted” to number 1 by Hull, he will not get games. Therefore a season-long loan elsewhere seems a fair prospect and obviously we’d hope he might choose to be here.

I would have thought that if you are a goalkeeper the “work” is fairly similar irrespective of the level at which you are playing - although the money will be better as you go higher up the leagues!

Had this debate on here before about goalkeepers organising defences and talking to defenders-both sadly lacking with our other keepers. Yes LJ has got better but i think we all agree that he is way behind the standard (all round) of TLT

I remember a few years ago we took Seny Dieng from QPR (now plying his trade with Middlesborough)

I commented that I rated him, his no nonsense approach and complete lack of histrionics. There were no 'fake' congratulations after making a save,  he didn't particularly engage with defenders or bollock them for not clearing a ball he quietly made his thoughts known. you get my drift.

Several of you kindly agreed and said " you're right, I hadn't noticed"

I feel our current encumbant displays similar qualities.            Thoughts?......

I went to Stevenage v Donny at the end of last season.

I've just twigged, TLT played for Stevenage. Not important, but I'd not heard any comments.

Think if we do try to buy him , put a big 40% sell on fee for hull or even a buy back option in his contract at an agreed fee
