Barnsley just sacked their Manager.

1 game to play and are in the play offs.  What the …. Is going on at Oakwell?
Over to you Tyke. What has gone off for that decision to be made.
It looks crazy even if you are on a 5 game run without a win.

Got to have someone lined up surely!?

Neil Warnock might fancy a promotion rather than a survival end to the year

46% win percentage and sacked that must be some kind of first.

Id be worried if they have lined up one of their former players!

Perfectly fine sacking. They are lucky to have as many points as they have and the football has been poor. A sacking based on underlying numbers as opposed to actual points. Makes sense to me.

We know footballers and managers are basically mercenaries but do we really think GM would jump! at this time?

Even the most gnarled, hard faced manager would never do that to us, would they?

I think GM values the use of his legs more! (only kidding before someone dives in)

With one point from the last 15, leaving them clinging on to a playoff place, it’s not that surprising.

Who are they going to get with 1 game left and maybe play offs, seems stupid timing to me

Other than possibly four or five games the football has been pitiful to watch this season , absolutely turgid .

Defensively we've been shaky , almost calamitous at times , for the majority of the season we've got away with it , a combination of opposition poor finishing , a decent keeper in Roberts and some large slices of luck have kept us in the top 6 .

That is until football does what football does and tells you , " you ain't getting away with this for the full 46 games plus potentially 3 play off matches and so here we are .

In March we were 14 points clear of 7th spot and now we can be caught on the line on the very last day of the season .

The owners clearly blame the HC , the fact of the matter is he was recruited a bunch of players over two windows that aren't even remotely good enough but he managed to get at least some kind of tune out of them even if it was shyte to watch .

He dropped lucky with Cole scoring for fun until the real Devante Cole started turning up again and only scoring one in his last 19 games , as I said earlier football does what football does over 46 games and it's never lied yet .

Is Collins totally blameless ? , no he isn't , more than a hint of losing the plot , he very rarely changes anything positive on the pitch either tactically or from the bench , some of the more recent decisions have actually cost us points and these last 8 games he's looked out of his depth .

So the powers that be have decided to throw the dice and make this a four game season assuming we clinch the play off spot and then triumph at Wembley .

Heroes if it works , utterly stupid if it doesn't .

Gutsy call .

Events will determine the outcome .

I'm surprised you think we've that kind of pull these days .

Collins came from the second tier of US football .
