Kudos to winning their first European trophy last night and ending a season long uneaten run for Leverkusen instyle. This got me thinking how big are they as a club compared to usSeems not much. Obviously they are doing well in the top tier and we're not at our best in the 4th tier but average attendance wise to last year we are c.7k they are c.14kAs a city their population is 120k to our 300k.So just shows the untapped potential we may have, with twice the attendance for half the population. So if we had an equivalent following we'd be at 28k
I think we're also still seeing the impact of a lost generation of supporters, when our non-league period coincided with Leeds having some time in European competitions.
