Haks and Biggo not signing

How do you know this?

McCann has confirmed it.

Molyneux has to improve his consistency. Talented player, but first half of the season was all over the place.

Totally correct, however Grant said due to injuries he wasn’t played as he should be, so let’s see if he plays like a wizard from game 1 next season….

It’s good to hear Mols say how important the fans were in him making his decision to stay .

Sounds like Grant knew about both a while ago, Sbarra can play in that role was his words, and we have Gibson who plays in Haks role.

Shame about both, they really came on good for us at the end of the season, but not fully shocked in Haks, he should be playing in a higher league, he will do no good if restrained by tactics- Grant gave him a free pass to do what he wanted really. I think he would have been one of the leagues highest paid had he come to us, so possibly him deciding to decline the offer helps us with what else we need.

Biggins, I never saw anything from apart from the odd worldie, then he really kicked on at the back end of the season. Was it the typical end of contract uplift, or was it just a better and settled team?

Good luck and thanks to both.

Now let’s find that Matty Craig

Fantastic news and, of the three, think he’s the most important but, more important than what I think, it sounds like GM thinks that as well.

I'd have loved to have kept Haks as well but he didn’t look the same player towards the end of the season as he was previously so not totally gutted. Looking forward to next season!!  :woohoo:

Signed, announcement soon, you heard it here first

Heard it from Peter O’Rourke last week first ;)

Great news, for me he was more important to tie down than Haks or Biggins. It’s starting to come together…

Enjoyed both GMs and Lukes interviews. Luke talking about enjoying his time here and he wanted to stay as long as possible, talking of moving here now deal is done amd wanting to stay past 3yrs. All good news. He is a great player and let's not forget he doesn't miss to many games which is another key attribute for us. Fantastic signing and as GM said possible the best in this division in his position.

I think we could say everyone was all over the place at the start of the season, when it got down to a settled side with a settled formation and most importantly Mols playing in his favoured role we saw the best of him.

Looks to me with the signings we have made so far that TB has already tipped GM the nod to go and get his players, With players like Mols, Sbarra and Gibson, GM knows exactly what he wants from his offensive line.

Lets hope we can now get that elusive midfield box to box terrier to hold it all together for us, couple this with a new keeper and it looks like we're dealing with quality rather than quantity.

Next season already looks attractive, well done All.

If Haks isn’t signing we effectively have a replacement in Gibson, but I really hope that we get someone to provide the energy and pressing that Biggins brought at the back end of the season, as well as the ability to get in the box.

According to Grant, we’re close to signing another midfield player, who will be “Tommy Rowe’s replacement”.

Let's also not forget, McCann keeps bigging up Broadbent so he's got some expectations on his shoulders now.

That’s marvellous news. I was assuming he’d be off to pastures new. Luke’s really improved and become an exciting talent. We want to see that continue as we climb the divisions once more. He’s the new Copps.

Yes, Mols was so much better when he started taking up more central positions, adding more variety to his portfolio.

The goals he scored away at Morecambe, Crewe and earlier at Grimsby were examples of him doing just that. Earlier in the season he was more reliant on the cut inside and shoot moves, which could be more easily anticipated by defenders.

If he, Gibson, Sbarra, Hurst etc, can get beyond the front man in those more central areas, it's difficult to defend against.

I’m amazed how he seems to be so loved despite been very average  and since leaving been very average. Showed a bit of effort in a team of dossers. Need more than that now to be in our thinking imo

Got a feeling it could be the lad from Barrow, GM sang his praises very highly.

Robbie Gotts, just remembered his name.

That would be some signing. Said he’d tried to sign him for Hull.

Don’t forget as well he played at left back for a chunk of last season to help the team out.

Think we really started seeing the best of Molyneux when Adelakun gave him the freedom to drift infield and swap flanks. With 2 players coming in who can also play across a front 3, hopefully he'll have that freedom again next season - they all will. Should make for exciting viewing.

I mean I don't love him, he's just a left footed box to box player who is a free agent. Won Sutton's Player of the Season despite only joining in January.

People do keep mentioning him though, which is surprising since he was crap.

Got to say, Molyneux staying and us not giving the other 2 big money contracts is an optimal outcome.

Brilliant news on Molly signing. Think he was the one I wanted and most of us wanted to re sign the most.
Will be a massive player for us next season. Grant will turn him into the best wide attacking player in league 2 next season.
I would have a wager he will score 12 league goals next season and will have at least that amount of assists also.

Most important position now is getting a top quality Goal Keeper.
If we get that sorted then I think we have a top 3 team next season.

Not sure who replaces Mathew Craig in the team. That’s the only other doubt I have about the jigsaw not being 100% complete at present.

Neither Close or Westbrooke are of the same ilk. Both ball players rather than ball winners. Broadbent I am just not convinced about at all. GM obviously sees something in him.
Craig was fantastic at winning the ball back & we are going to miss that and there is going to be a massive job & reliance on Owen Bailey in that Dept next season unless we get someone else signed who can do that job.

Local-ish lad, GM spoke well of the lad, has played CM and right back so versatile in 2 positions we need additional cover.

Interesting call, well done

This is great news, well done Moly and well done to the Club.

This shows real intent by the club and real ambition from Moly to cement his place at the Rovers and ‘become a legend’.

I’m really chuffed that we’ll be seeing Moly in a Rovers shirt again next season.
