I’m starting to feel that my Rovers to win the league next season bet might be a good one.

What odds did you get hound?

I'm very tempted to get on now at 14/1

My 16 year old lad has just had a taste of the future. He said they will be signing players younger than me soon.

I got the following with Skype:

11-8 for top 7 finish
100-30 for promotion
14-1 for title

Speaking to a City fan at work today - whose this bloke Yeboah we've got from you then?

'You're having me on, you can't sign him he's an important part of the 1st team squad for next season. He was absolute dynamite when he came on last year, quick as anything and a rocket shot on him. He left every full-back he played against for dead. No way is he going to your lot!'

'No straight up, we've got him on a season long-loan'.

He woudn't believe me. Had to go check the story on their website and spent the next hour saying how lucky we are and how mad their management was. One of the best young prospects we have ever had at City he reckons. Can play either wing, central behind the striker and even wing back.

We'll see if he lives up to it.

There is also a Bath City fan so will report what he says when I next see him.

Great news Wilts, sounds like he could be our Haks replacement, quality and confidence and that spark to win games when we need it. Welcome lad!

He does sound a real X Factor player. Playing in the Champ at 17 is a pretty good achievement.

I remember having a chat with Scawsby Steve during our bad spell last season, and what was the cause of it. I said, " I remember when we had camaraderie in the team."
Scawsby Steve said, "Was that the Italian boy?"

Then you replied "F*cked if I know". I said "That's it, the Spanish player, F*ctifano".

Same bloke never rated Haks when he played for them.

Very interesting article on the Yeboah loan move the City fan put me onto today. I did wonder how it had all come about as I couldn't think where we might have had any connections with Bristol City to be looking at him?

Apparently it was Dave Rennie, the new head of medical (who came from City) that recommended him to McCann. And of course his manager at Bath City where he finished last season is an ex-team mate of McCann's:
