We are improved on last season, which is the aim of the club, a deeper squad and more tallented. What we need now is the confidence to display that talent and the organisation and tactics to get the best out of the players from the off. We have had a good preseason against teams higher in the pecking order, and we have looked a class above the teams we would be expected to do so. What we will need to do is match the determination teams show in our division, the teams that do that with the better class players always do well, but its not easy, teams like Portsmouth Derby, Bradford etc. have failed in that respect on more than one occasion and have took years to full fill their promise and move up the leagues because of lack of attitude and commitment not skill. We need to be on both, time will tell if we are the real thing, I hope and think we can be.
I see Evans said post match said he thought for short spells Rotherham were 'exceptional'. Crikey, they definitely started the stronger but after that they were dire for the most part. Give me some on the deck football any day of the week.
