Yes Bob Gilfillan. Might have been more than the one version though. A shame that we didn’t kick on as we should have with that team. I never expected the decline to set in over the next few years. Frank Wilson would have been a far better option than Hubert Bates. The wrong one left.

Absolutely. I remember we dabbled in a couple of promotions into Division 3 (League 1) around that time but didn't invest enough in the team to sustain the progress.

It was scandalous considering the gates we were getting at that time.
