Well now then we have a situation developing in Super League which is going to cause a stink .

With the London Broncos beating Hull FC at the Magic Weekend yesterday they are now both level on 6 points at the bottom of Super League .

Here's the thing , Hull FC have grade A IMG status and can't be relegated from Super League .

London Broncos don't have enough IMG points for Super League and won't be playing in Super League next season no matter where they finish this season .

The powers that be thought the Broncos wouldn't make a fist of it after promotion last season from the championship and would easily finish rock bottom in Super League .

This is heading for the High Court if the Broncos finish above Hull and are relegated .

The Broncos owner isn't taking this one laying down .

This could get really interesting .

Yes awful from the Dons this week, astonishing that was the same side. Think they turned up thinking the job was done, and it wasn't.

We have been in Whitehaven's position before, on the brink of collapse, players not turning up then we've gone an beat Leigh (for example) from nowhere.

I have never thought we'd get the play offs this year, and it was never the aim but that's not the way I thought it would happen, and with almost every result going against us we're looking at probably needing anther win again

Happy St Helens day everyone

Thanks for that, Glen. I'll never forget that day; scorching hot as well.

It was the equivalent of Rovers going to Old Trafford and pumping Utd. Unbelievable.

Another great battling performance against one of the big boys this week but we ran out of steam in a nip and tuck affair. Still feel we need 1 more win to ensure safety.

But this was the moment everyone left talking about

Brilliant stuff , rushed off the line and lined the Bulls lad up perfectly .

Just about to post the same Bob.

The playoffs are out of reach now, but it's been an excellent season.

This is how close it's been. They are 5 points off the playoffs. They've drawn one game and lost 2 by just 1 point. So if they'd scored just 5 more points in those 3 games and turned them all into wins, they'd be in the group of Featherstone, York, Widnes and Sheffield scrapping it out for 3 playoff places.

This first successful season back at this level for a very long time makes you wonder, will some additional Club Doncaster funds be forthcoming to enable a real and more meaningful challenge next season?.

Its been a long time in gestation and the commercial and marketing side's needs beefing up but you would think that the next progression is to go to the next level with funding and see how far this can be taken.

Plenty still to be done but it would not surprise me if some sort of blueprint has already been created and is being implemented.

Lets hope so, it can only be a good thing for The Dons, Club Doncaster and the City as a whole.

Looking like another superb result today.

Those three points dropped Vs Whitehaven are going to hurt.

If they HAD picked up those 5 points, they'd currently be in 5th place. And a win at second bottom Swinton next week would have guaranteed a playoff spot.

I think the championship will be a much more open league next season and as you say with a few smart additions the Dons could be right in the mix .

London Broncos are probably going to lose a few of their better players to Super League , O'Rourke is a full back I'd love to see at Trinity for one and they won't be replaced easily minus Super League money .

The club next season with a few bob in the championship are Oldham but they will have to recruit wisely too and without having a brand such as my Wakefield Trinity have or indeed the Bradford Bulls it's not a shoe in by any means .

I've enjoyed this season personally but I'm getting ready for some tighter and tougher games now , I'm trying desperately not to sound like your average Wednesday fan but Wakefield have been several levels above everybody this season as well they should be mind you given the budget and the size of the club at this level .

Aye, that's it. Those 5 points have cost them a place in the playoffs. Would now be guaranteed with 1 game left

Should be noted they can still make the play offs if Barrow beat Widnes and the Dons beat Wakefield by around 120 points. Nailed on

Well I'm hoping for the Dons to give us a difficult afternoon on Sunday to take in to the business end of the season and hopefully a return to Super League .

York gave us a very tough game a fortnight ago and had us defending our Try line several times during the 80 minutes .

Total free hit for the Dons this coming Sunday and I sincerely hope it's a close game even if ultimately Trinity will probably win .

Must have missed the news that our Josh Bowden is signing for the Dons for the 2025 season and leaving Trinity .

This is a cracking signing for the Dons , bags of Super League experience who makes great metres on his carries , the sort of player every RL team needs in order to be successful .

Inside your own 20 metre line Josh is the go to man to get you up the pitch .

I wouldn't beat the Dons up too much on today's result .

OK 72 points conceded is a bit of a hiding but Trinity were really in the mood today and at full strength and I'd say half of Super League wouldn't have beaten us today .

Decent following from the Dons at Belle Vue this afternoon who took it all in good spirit .

If the Dons are to kick on next season I think some beef needs adding to the forwards and certainly Josh Bowden will help that next year .

Ball in hand I thought the Dons were decent enough and created a decent try in the first half .

Got to beef those forwards up especially in the defensive side of the game , way too easy for Trinity this afternoon to break the Dons line defending  your own 20 metre line .

As I said earlier Trinity would have put 50 points on everyone in this league this afternoon and it's far from a season defining game .

Was an odd one yesterday, probably the worst team we put out all season due to injuries and giving a last game to a number of players being released. Against arguably one of Wakefield strongest sides they've out out.

Yes Bowden looks to be a good signing for us, I get to hear a few other names that we're supposed to be bringing in and I am more than happy with the calibre of players I have heard. Not the last incoming player from Wakefield

Derrell Olpherts , Toby Boothroyd , Matty Ashurst , Ian Thornley and Romain Franco have all contributed hugely this season at Trinity .

I think Olpherts and Boothroyd can count themselves a little unlucky to be released , Olpherts has 20 championship tries this season and young Boothroyd picked up a nasty injury early in the season .

One of the overseas lads had to go because we are over the quota and unfortunately it was Boothroyd who got the dreaded news .

I've no idea what budget the Dons work to but obviously there will be a differential from full time Wakefield money to perhaps what the Dons can offer I suspect .

Lovodua is leaving the Dons a year early so that will free up (I suspect) a decent chunk of the wage bill. He was also doing the schools stuff so there’s a full time role for someone there

Could be the upset of the decade on the cards in the Wakefield-York playoff semi.

6-7 to York at HT.

Could be the upset of the decade on the cards in the Wakefield-York playoff semi.

6-7 to York at HT.

York had a right dig at us , they were superb for all the 80 minutes .

Could have gone either way with 15 minutes to go , we kicked on the last and unfortunately the York full back slipped and it bounced straight in to Ian Thornley's hands who went over .

Even then York were an inch from going over on their next set which would have made it a one point game .

Rode our luck today did Trinity , mightily relieved we got it done .
