Enjoy him whilst you can. Keeps up this form, won’t be here post Xmas, although in exchange for a big wedge of cash.
Outstanding.

What a player, what a blow if he'd have left. Fair play to all involved in keeping him.

I actually thought he was pretty poor first half. Some sloppy touches, possession gifted away cheaply and some poor decisions made. Two things that really stand out about Moly, though, are that he always, always puts a shift in, and he’s got goals like that in his locker.

Had said last year that getting him re-signed was more important than Adelakun and he’s picked up where he left off. Ultimately a great start for both him and us despite some shaky moments.

And Gibson looks an upgrade on Adelakun

Luke can go up the leagues with us if he wants that. His reasons for staying were exactly that, and that he is loved and valued here… and that might not be the case elsewhere.

Plus - Grant and the team are improving his game.

It was a better strike that the one at Gillingham last season.
Any team that stands off him at 25 yards or less from goal are going to get punished.

On fire today should have had 4 goals, but we’ll take the 2 from him

He was good, very good today, a shame not to recognise Gibsons performance and goal though, he was as good.

For me the only thing he did wrong was not passing to Hurst in the middle when he hit the bar, can’t blame him for shooting though as he is high on confidence!

2 goals and 1 assist. That’s 3 chalked off his stated aim of 30 goals/assists for the season.

What a strike that was, by the way.

If he keeps taking up more central positions, as he started to do last season, those numbers look realistic.

Has the potential to be the next club legend. Hope Copps has been encouraging him to stick around for years to come!

Great that we now have assets in terms of players, Molly, Bailey, Maxwell, Hurst, Ironside, who else is going to be a club asset, Sbarra, defo, Gibson?? Etc etc…
Just over a year ago we had nowt.
What a job done by TB, GB. They really have grabbed it by the throat.

Something has definatley clicked with Luke in the last 6 months or so with regards to goalscoring. In his first 86 appearances for Rovers, he scored 6 goals. Since scoring one of his trademark 'worldies' at Grimsby he has hit 10 in his last 17. I reckon he'd be well into double figures for amounts of times he's hit the woodwork too!!

Think molyneaux said something along the lines that he wanted to be the next copps, hopefully it wasn't just words as long as we grow with him i.e keep moving up the leagues and improve him as a player, and keep him happy no reason for him to leave unless someone offers him ridiculous money

i really wasn't sure when we just appeared to raid Coppingers little black book for Molyneux, Bailey and Sterry, but they are a great attacking threat as evidenced by the opening goal on Saturday. Some of those players are really going to be attracting attention if we continue the form of last season (which on first evidence has shown no signs of letting up) - a good problem to have for sure, and a while since we've had such saleable assets.

I agree. I wonder if somewhere in the negotiations a release clause was put in his contract. He’s destined for big things.

I'd imagine he will also become a marked man now for most sides in this league. he's had a tremendous fitness record since coming here, lets hope it stays that way.

Too many refs like the plum on Saturday and we may have more assets going down to dirty and malicious fouls.

Good players at this level need more protection from some of the cloggers in this league.

Mols is a canny operator and will know exactly what's required.

Since he started getting his head up and coming inside to work his magic, he's a different player to the one trick pony he was.

He's now got the potential to be as prolific as Sammy Szmodics from midfield, so let's just enjoy him as long as we can.

100/1 to be top scorer. He almost certainly won't be, but that does feel like very long odds.

He's turning into a monster player at this level. Hope we can hold on to him all season.
