John Marquis scores for Shrewsbury (23rd in L1) who lead 2-1 against high flying Birmingham. He’s their top scorer.

At the other side of this match, Alfie started, but was subbed and although he scored 5 early in the season and has started 18 times he has not scored since the beginning of October and has 3 Assists to his name. It ended 3-2 to Shrewsbury T.

BBC website shows Alfie as not starting today but he did come on as a sub after 55 minutes.

One I'd forgotten about from a few seasons ago...Josef Bursik.
He's dropped a right clanger this evening apparently, playing for Hibs & gifting a goal to Dundee.

Matt Craig an unused sub for Barnsley tonight. Been on the bench the last few games now. Send him back here Spurs, you know it makes sense.

Scunny-supporting mate informs me the team of Andy Butler and John Schofield are quickly losing support over there. Rumours of losing the dressing room, a divided cliquey squad constantly falling out, and a formation that the players don't want to play all sound familiar from Butler's time in the dugout here.

They are only 2 points off Curzon Ashton at the top, although they are bang out of form and a lot of teams around them have games in hand. Looking like it might be the play-off lottery again.

Is Curtis Main now at Darlington? If he is, he managed the well high impossible today - scored a goal.

Still playing in the SPL, with a better goals to minute ratio than any of our players this season.

Curtis Main scored at hat trick vs Bonnyrigg Rose in the 1st round of the league cup, it’s not exactly like putting Celtic or Rangers to the sword

Main has scored two league goals all season. His only other goals came against aforementioned Bonnyrigg Rose (Scottish fourth tier) and Airdrieonians (Scottish second tier) in the Scottish League Cup early rounds.

Aye, but he’s only played 389 minutes - the equivalent of less than 4 and a half full games. He was crap for us but he’s made a decent career of it at a good level.

That’s the thing, it’s not a good level, apart from the obvious 2 teams the others have ex league 2 players sprinkled in them

Biggo gone back to Shrewsbury after a rather underwhelming loan at Carlisle.
