I thought he started quite well, but by the second half he had lost the plot and seemed to be giving decisions at random.

I have some sympathy with him over the Fleming incident. It was clearly a foul, but there are always a number of factors to consider before giving out a red card.  The key letter in DOGSO is the first 'O'  namely, is it obviously denying a goalscoring opportunity? In this case, I understand the yellow.
