There has been no ownership of Sky Sports by the Murdoch family for the last five years. Sky (and Sky Sports) is owned by Comcast. Murdoch has nothing to do with Sky Sports and hasn’t for several years.

Mate of mine said the fire stick coverage has been poor this year, loads of buffering and wrong audio etc.  Said iplayer was better.
