League One club Birmingham City completed arguably the most stunning signing of the summer 2024 transfer window as they signed Fulham striker Jay Stansfield for a fee of more than £10m on a seven-year deal.from the BBC ,this is a crazy amount of money to be spent plus add ons up to 4 million and a 20% sell on fee

So with him Dykes and Alfie May up front they should score tonnes of goals. Wonder how they'll meet ffp in the championship.

I assume it’s a ‘shit or bust’ strategy, banking on promotion, as I think you avoid it if you go up. A few championship teams have done this.

When you also see TLO Bourmemouth selling players for £60million you know it’s all gone crackers.
I hope Jay Stansfield does really well, of course his dad was Adam who tragically passed away so young, and will be familiar to us when Yeovil were one of our big rivals from Conference to Championship.

Didn't Birmingham get taken over fairly recently y some overseas group with, allegedly, loads and loads of cash? I even have a memory that they are looking to build a new ground away from St. Andrews.
