Without being harsh, jay is the player we all thought Faulkner would develop into?

He does have a year and a half on him TBF.

He was very good, no doubt about it and that performance will have done his confidence the world of good. I think he missed one header during the game but the Gillingham guy did as well. Tremendous display and the back 4 were good as a unit.

I think there was that almost Corparal Jones (Rob) when there was that clash of heads, and he got up far too early (like a boxer having been chinned) "I'm fine lads, nothing to see here" as he staggered sideways.

Yes! That was proper warrior stuff from JM, show no weakness to the opposition, get up and get on with it, proper footy player.
I think the ref insisted he was looked at and called on the physio, hence he had to go off for 30 seconds.

Interestingly, looking at the data from Saturday. JM didn’t complete one pass to the left back. That needs to improve.

Really Gaz.
I would have sworn that he played several balls to Fleming during the match.
Unless I am missing the joke here.

I wonder if he'll turn out as good as the other McGrath who played for St Pats... Big Paul.

Outstanding performance from the lad, & from Anderson, who for me has been brilliant for the 2nd game running, & is looking more & more like the Tom of old, both of them won almost everything in the air.

The experience of Anders, and perhaps taking JM under his wings looks like a winning combination at the moment.
Keep it going old timer and ankle biter.

listening to the interview with TA after the game, it was crystal clear that grants mindset is 100% in the heads of the players, it's only 3 PTS, one game at a time, nothing is won yet. Now is the time for the senior players just to keep everyones feet on the ground. This could be a very special season, but only if complacency doesn't spring in.
