George Monbiot shows who's in charge ............

''A network of public bodies are supposed to safeguard us from flooding. But, like old boys’ clubs, they are bastions of self-interest''

Syd, you are back.  While you were away some other posters gave links to Guardian articles which didn’t show the current government in very good light.
What has happened there and why are they giving Starmer and Co a bit of stick.

Nope, he has been sorely missed.
My question was a genuine one though Tommy.
Why is The Guardian suddenly giving the government a bit of bad coverage?
Have you got anything to add to the debate or are you just having a pop at me.
Either way, I’m not bothered.

What debate is that then?
Syd starts a post about flooding and you immediately divert it on to something else.
There’s plenty of posts about your new pet subject on the Politics forum, so why bring it into this one.
But no doubt will you’ll earn more browny points from your mates.

Tommy, Syd posted an article link to the Guardian.
I asked a question about other Guardian articles.
Surely you can see a connection there.
You were the person who deflected the thread with an attack on me.
