Doncaster Comeback

Wanted to try and make a positive post about our home City after the blows and set backs of recent years and negative comments that often surrounds our home City.

Is our City on the brink of a massive comeback with the recent positive news of American Nuclear Energy company Holtec International choosing Gateway East as the site of there factory to make components for small modular reactors - which according to the company, the factory is estimated to provide GBP1.5 billion (USD2 billion) in Gross Value Added to the economy and is set to create hundreds of well-paid, high-skilled jobs.

Then on the other side of the City at Carcroft Common we have Hybrid Air Vehicles ready to build there factory to start producing the Airlander10.

The recent great news the Railway College has being taken over by Network Rail on a 20 year lease.

And fingers crossed we're also on the brink of getting back our Airport and what other potential investment this could attract, no doubt Holtec picked us because of access to an International Airspace on there doorstep, which they won't find space for anywhere else in the UK.

Let's hope things continue to look up for the future of our City.
