Three automatic and four play off places.

Of the six other sides in that seven, we’ve played half of them now, and beaten them all (Gillingham, Port Vale and Barrow).

We played average compared to the last games of last season. Bailey playing in the midfield anchor role plus dropping to a three made us better defensively. Clifton works hard and with a great cross from Sterry scored. Kelly had a hard working game in midfield. Billy on the side of the last man all game until Ironside came on and he did the same.  Now we come to the attacking forwards. Sbarra was the best of the average four . Yeboah Hurst and Gibson at the moment are average at best and need to pick up their game. Molyneux will come in on Saturday and I hope Maxwell is fit for Left back as Fleming again works hard but not good enough and is no better than Senior.
We were a lot better without Close in the side that’s a positive. We are in sixth place and we are not playing at our best but that’s comparing us to last year can we attain that level consistently I’m not sure

Moved up to fifth with Colchester's late equaliser at Port Vale

Gibson was excellent when he came on as sub. Looks better on the right than on the left
He is a talented player just needs to show some consistency with an end product.

Well it’s how you interpret the word excellent. Less than brilliant but I think he was excellent. Did what he was brought on to do so for me I would use the word excellent.

That last minute close control followed by the dipping shot was great to see.
Overall I thought that Gibbo did well in his appearance tonight.

Top four sides all have exactly the same record - won six, drawn one and lost three.

Tranmere down in 17th place have only lost twice, as have AFC Wimbledon in 12th and Chesterfield in 11th.

Looking at the table it is taking up some sort of shape now and isn't too far from expected
